This book is great. It's abridged, but at least it gets the major parts of the story, so it's still easy to follow along. Nothing that you can read along to the original book with, but at least there's not a lot that is missed in the story.

Brilliant narrating, so engaging and wonderful

I am losing count of the number of times my 4y old has fallen asleep listening to this. It's so engaging and has really sparked his imagination, and has started a love for Roald Dahl. As engaging and lovely it is to listen to, it has now become so warm and familiar that he falls asleep within a few minutes if listening at bed time. The best tonie we've got. James Acaster is brilliant. Narration is the best I've heard.

Great retelling

Great retelling of the story. Really brings the magic of Roald Dahl alive. This has been a firm favourite of my now 7 year olds for the past couple of years. My daughter loves the Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spika bits the most.
