In this action-packed and hilarious post-apocalyptic series by Max Brallier, 13-year-old Jack Sullivan and his crew of friends—Quint, June, Dirk, and their pet monster Rover—battle zombies, monstrous creatures, and ancient evils, all while living it up in a tricked-out treehouse stocked with Oreos, video games, and wild inventions. Together, they face everything from eerie zombie disappearances and brain-shrinking cults to world-ending villains like Blarg and Rezzoch the Ancient. But as the kids uncover secrets, encounter other survivors, and struggle with what comes next, Jack must decide what matters most: saving the world or holding on to the wild, weird life they've built together. Written by Max Brallier.
Ever since the monster apocalypse hit town, average thirteen year old Jack Sullivan has been living in his tree house, which he's armed to the teeth with catapults and a moat, not to mention video games and an endless supply of Oreos and Mountain Dew foraged from abandoned stores. But Jack alone is no match for the hordes of Zombies,Winged Wretches and Vine Thingies, and especially not for the eerily intelligent monster known only as Blarg. So Jack builds a team: his dorky best friend, Quint; the reformed middle school bully, Dirk; Jack's loyal pet monster, Rover; and Jack's crush, June. With their help, Jack is going to slay Blarg, achieve the ultimate Feat of Apocalyptic Success, and be average no longer! Can he do it?
The Last Kids on Earth and the Zombie Parade
The zombies are disappearing. This might seem like a good thing, since zombies eat your brains, but human kid Jack Sullivan is suspicious. He keeps hearing an eerie shrieking noise that seems to be almost summoning the zombies--but to where, and for what (probably) foul purpose? Jack, his three best friends (maybe the only people left on Earth), and their pet monster Rover need to get to the bottom of this. Along the way, they encounter a lot more than they bargained for, including a giant Wormungulous, a pizza parlor monster hangout, an ancient evil who destroys worlds, and a stereo system that is totally the bomb. Can Jack figure out why the zombies are vanishing...before he and his friends are next?
The Last Kids on Earth and the Nightmare King
When Jack and his friends find a one-way radio broadcasting live updates, they realize they might not be the last kids on Earth, after all. June, Quint, and Dirk are thrilled because this means they could get to see their parents again someday, but Jack is bummed. Living in a tree house with his best friends, racing through town on tricked-out Go-Karts, playing tug-of-war with monsters, successfully battling the Destroyer of Worlds--it's the happiest he's ever been, and he doesn't want it to end. If Jack can make his friends understand how fun it is here, maybe they'll never want to leave him. And if he teams up with the (probably) extremely evil King Wretch monster--a monster who's capable of giving him visions, even predicting the future--maybe he can do just that...
The Last Kids on Earth and the Cosmic Beyond
While sledding down the best street in town, Jack and his friends encounter Cate, a grown-up who has also managed to survive the monster apocalypse. This would be cool, except that Cate's a member of the evil Cult of the Cosmic. She's trying to bring Rezzoch the Ancient, Destroyer of Worlds, onto Earth so that he can destroy it. Cate steals Jack's beloved Louisville Slicer, but that's nothing compared to what she does next: she tries to zombify Dirk! Now the kids must race to stop the zombification process before Dirk is gone and Rezzoch the Ancient has made it here to Earth.

Dory Fantasmagory is not your average kid, she’s a superhero, a monster-fighter, and a champion of wild ideas. Whether she’s on a mission to rescue the tooth fairy, learning to read, or battling imaginary villains, Dory’s imagination always saves the day, even if it gets her into a little trouble first. These four stories by Abby Hanlon are packed with laugh-out-loud moments, heart, and just the right amount of trouble.
Dory Fantasmagory
Here comes a lovable, energetic little sister with a BIG personality — and an imagination to match! As the youngest in her family, Dory really wants attention, and more than anything, she wants her brother and sister to play with her. But she's too much of a baby for them, so she's left to her own devices — including her wild imagination and untiring energy. Her siblings may roll their eyes at her childish games, but Dory has lots of things to do: outsmarting the monsters all over the house, escaping from prison (aka time-out), and exacting revenge on her sister's favorite doll. And when they really need her, daring Dory will prove her bravery, and finally get exactly what she has been looking for.
Dory Fantasmagory: Head in the Clouds
Fans of Junie B. Jones and Ivy and Bean will love this new story about the spunky little rascal with big ideas. The star of Dory Fantasmagory is heading to school. Her older siblings, Luke and Violet, warn her to leave her imaginary friend, Mary, at home — or better yet, to leave her whole imagination at home! Dory is determined to behave like a "regular old girl who never gets in trouble," but on her very first day, she meets a new friend, a girl whose imagination and style are just about as wild as her own. Now she just has to convince her siblings that she's not making it all up! Filled with plenty of funny moments, this Book Tonie bursts with charm and impudence, making it a must-listen.
Dory Fantasmagory: Dory Dory Black Sheep
Ever since Dory met Rosabelle, a real true friend whose imagination and high spirits match her own, school has been pretty good. But now the class is learning to read, and it's proving to be a challenge for Dory. While Rosabelle can read chapter books in her head, Dory is stuck with baby books about a happy little farm. Dory wishes for a potion to turn her into a reader, but things don't go as planned. Suddenly, a naughty little girl who looks an awful lot like Dory's imaginary nemesis, Mrs. Gobble Gracker, shows up. And a black sheep leaves the pages of the farm book to follow Dory to school. It really needs her help — this seems like a job for a superhero! And it would help if she knew how to read. In her third book, Dory the rascal takes reluctant reading to new heights with a story that is as one-of-a-kind and hilarious as she is.
Dory Fantasmagory: Head in the Clouds
A loose tooth leads to hilarious hijinks with the tooth fairy in book four of the wonderfully imaginative Dory Fantasmagory series. Dory has her first loose tooth, and, with her usual over-the-top excitement, she cannot stop talking about the tooth fairy. Naturally, this drives her brother and sister crazy. But it also sparks a serious jealous streak in her nemesis, Mr. Gobble Cracker, who wants all of Dory's attention to herself. But Mrs. Gobble Gracker has decided to steal the tooth fairy's job, and flying around in a tutu from Rosabelle, she heads for Dory's house. It's time for Dory to come up with a serious plan to get the tooth fairy her job back. The fourth installment in the wildly popular Dory Fantasmagory series delivers laughs in every chapter as Dory teams up with her pals, real and imaginary, to save the tooth fairy for all the world's children — and get her dollar!
